About Deepjyot Foundation

Deepjyot Foundation was established in 2024 with the guiding motto: “Your Better Vision is Our Mission.” We are a nonprofit organisation registered under Section 8, committed to promoting healthy vision for children from underserved communities. We believe in a proactive, preventive approach, inspired by our core belief: “Prevention is better than a cure”.

After the harmful impact of the lockdown and pandemic, children started spending more time in front of the screen, and due to various causes, their eyesight and vision were poorly impacted. Deepjyot Foundation took the initiative to take care of these underprivileged children. Through our school and community-based initiatives, we organise Eye Power Check camps where children undergo vision testing by trained professionals. After testing, we provide spectacles to all children who with vision correction and those who do not. For children without vision power but showing signs of digital eye strain, we offer specially designed UV and blue-light-blocking spectacles. Children with power receive spectacles suited to their prescription, along with a protective coating.

Deepjyot Foundation is dedicated to ensuring the well-being of underprivileged children by providing comprehensive eye care services and free eye checkups across underprivileged areas. Through our commitment to early detection, prevention, and intervention, we aim to empower children with the gift of sight, enabling them to thrive academically, socially, and personally. We strive to foster a community where every child can access quality eye care and the necessary support to reach their full potential.
